Anuga 2011: Setting the scene

This year Anuga will demonstrate its international expertise for the food sector for the 31st time. With 6 596 suppliers on a gross exhibition space of 284 000 m², the trade fair is booked out. Anuga 2011 will be opened by Dr. Guido Westerwelle, the Foreign Minister of the Federal Republic of Germany, and Francesco Saverio Romano, the Minister of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policy of the Republic of Italy. For five days, from 8th to 12th October 2011, suppliers from 100 countries will be showing the entire global product range of food and beverages.

 
Anuga Drinks: The international platform for the beverage industry

This year, Anuga Drinks, one of the ten trade shows at Anuga, will once again offer trade buyers and interested caterers an expert information and ordering platform for beverages. Around 500 exhibitors from 61 countries will be concentrated at Anuga Drinks, including many market-leading companies as well as small and medium-sized suppliers. Anuga Drinks is the only trade show worldwide to cover the complete spectrum of drinks and beverages including non-alcoholic beverages, wine, beer, spirits and trend drinks.

 
Anuga Frozen Food: The meeting place for the international frozen food industry

The ice cold heart of Anuga is Anuga Frozen Food, the international trade show for frozen foods and ice cream products under the roof of Anuga, from 8th to 12th October 2011 in Cologne. With approximately 500 exhibitors from about 50 countries, the trade show almost completely occupies both levels of Hall 4, with a gross exhibition space of 27 500 m².

After Anuga FineFood, the second biggest trade show under the roof of Anuga is Anuga Meat with its roughly 800 suppliers from about 50 countries.

 
France threatens Anuga boycott over foie gras ban

French agriculture minister Bruno Le Maire has threatened to boycott this year's Anuga trade show after a decision to stop foie gras producers from exhibiting at the event.
