Cape Town's ever-stylish and quality-driven NoMU Foods is once again asserting itself as an innovator leader with the launch of Fonds, concentrated liquid stocks, a concept first for South Africa and representing a massive improvement on traditional stock powders and cubes.

"These products are guaranteed to reinvent the way in which people cook," comments NoMU's founder and foodie genius, Tracy Foulkes. "Fonds are concentrated liquid stocks. They are ridiculously easy to use and good enough to drink with authentic homemade flavour. As a concentrate, they are supplied in 200ml fully recyclable PET bottles but will dilute to make up to six litres of stock!

"Until now, the closest available, local alternative has been a basic, pre-diluted, liquid stock which is sold in 500ml ready-to-use Tetra Pak cartons. Since NoMU’s Fonds are concentrated and can dilute to six litres, while you would only need to buy one 200ml bottle of NoMU Fond, you would need to buy 2 x 500ml units to achieve the same volume - but no where near the same flavour.

"On top of this (and in keeping with NoMU tradition) our Fonds contain no artificial flavour enhancers, colouring agents or preservatives. Our highest quality ingredients and recyclable PET bottles make our FONDS not just the healthier option but also the leaner, greener and cleaner choice."

Four flavour variants are available: BEEF, CHICKEN, LAMB and VEGETABLE.

The bottles have a protective tamper-proof seal to ensure freshness. Shelf-life is 18 months. Fonds must be refrigerated after opening.
